The Incessant rise of COVID 19 has held hostage the government economies, educational institutions and even families…. not even the health institution is spared.  With all these, the national government extended the implementation of the community quarantine indefinitely.

This crisis has brought the education sector together and made a paradigm shift to continue the delivery of its services in all levels. The adaptation of a new modalities of learning.

In accordance with the pertinent provisions of Republic Act (RA) No. 7722, otherwise known as the “Higher Education Act of 1994,” and; Republic Act No.11469, otherwise known as the “Bayanihan to Heal as One Act”; and by virtue of Commission en banc Resolution No__, Series of __, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) hereby adopts and promulgates guidelines on Flexible Learning to be implemented by public and private Higher Education Institutions.

Following the guidelines of the Commission on Higher Education, Negros Maritime College Foundation, Inc. adopted the flexible Online Learning (Asynchronous). It has developed a plan which reflects the framework and system for the transition and integration of flexible learning approaches anchored on the existing tools and resources of the institution, capability of staff and faculty members.

It ensured that the curriculum and syllabus are all prepared and designed to cover all that is required and approved by the Philippine Association on Maritime Institution. The preparation was indeed tedious, considering requirements and revisions but it’s all worth it.

With this the online enrollment for the Academic Year 2020-2021 first semester officially commences at Negros Maritime College Foundation, Inc. Offering the courses; Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation, Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering and Senior High School Grade 11 and 12 with the strand Technical Vocational Livelihood (TVL).
